medicine with a team approach
Pre-Operative Clearance

Elective surgery mandates that our patients be cleared for surgery. Often times, this is performed by an internist or cardiologist due to legal standards. However, the best physician to clear a patient for any surgical procedure is the physician most knowledgeable about all aspects of the surgical procedure.

Dr. Kiki Hurt has this knowledge due to her extensive medical background. Dr. Hurt has been a practicing Internist since 2000, a practicing Anesthesiologist since 2004, and a practicing Critical Care Physician since 2001. She spends about 30% of her time practicing each area of medicine that she has trained in.  She is board certified in all three fields and has special training in performing and evaluating cardiac echoes.

Dr Hurt has undergone several operations and understands the need to feel safe and comfortable with your physician. Dr. Hurt performs anesthesia for plastic surgery cases at least 3 to 4 times per week and has a busy internal medicine/critical care practice. Dr. Hurt is a physician that can perform safe, thorough and comprehensive surgical clearances for plastic surgery.
